This quick and easy dessert pizza tastes similar to warm apple pie, and is sure to delight vegans and non-vegans alike.

In winter, the taste of warm apple pie is a welcome comfort food. And, served a la mode, this easy fruit pizza is a light and refreshing warm weather dessert. Any time of year, this dessert is the perfect accompaniment to homemade vegetarian or vegan pizza.

Finding dairy-free and vegan desserts can be a challenge. Most traditional cake or pie recipes require eggs, milk, or butter. And many vegan recipes can be too complicated, requiring obscure ingredients available only from natural food stores. But pizza dough is traditionally dairy and egg free, and this apple pizza recipe does not require any unconventional or hard to find ingredients. Vegan buttery spread and vegan sugar can both be found in most grocery stores.

  10. Let pies cool for a few minutes, then cut into 6 or 8 slices.

Pair with a scoop of dairy-free ice cream such as Soy Delicious, Soy Dream, Rice Dream or Whole Soy for vegans or people with lactose intolerance, and plain vanilla ice cream for the omnivores.
